We toured Sri Lanka for 14 days in September 2026 on a Secret Escapes holiday.  The tour included a safari visit to Wilpatu Nature Reserve which was absolutely spectacular although the whole island is teeming with wildlife. I have tried to identify all the birds in the photographs using an excellent guide book by Gehan de Silva Wijeyeratne together with the Merlin app and what I could remember from the safari guide who was a specialist in birds.
